Ryder is 4 months old!!

Ryder had his 4 month check up one week ago and he is 17 lbs and 27 inches! He's in the 90% for weight and off the charts for height. I'm thinking he's gonna be big!!

Here he is with the latest and greatest Sophie Giraffe. I wasn't going to get her because she is $20, and that seems crazy for a baby toy. But I'm so glade I did because he loves her. He chews on her and can hold onto her very well. She also squeeks which he likes but the dogs like it too so we have to be very carful with Sophie while the dogs are near, which is always!!

Another fabulous toy we are slowly introducing Ryder to, his activity center!! He doesn't really get it yet but likes to look at all the cool toys and tap his feet at the bottom of it. He's also like to touch and feel everything.

Here is a funny picture of Ryder in a robe. It actually belongs to his cousin Thomas! It's a little small on him now.

I want one of these. They come in all different colors. I feel like the Ergo baby carrier has much more to offer then the baby bjorn, like pockets!! Which are so necessary because i don't want to carry my purse when i have this on.

Lavender or baby blue?

These are perfect for summertime. My sister in law Julie got me turned onto them. OPI also makes a cool yellow and green i like. I painted my nails and toes last night with the lavender and i love it.

Officially back to work!

Today is my Friday YAY!!! Here is a lovely picture of my desk. Not much to it. Right now i'm working in the office but soon i will be able to work from home too. I'm very thankful to have a job right now but miss my little pumkin Ryder a ton. I enjoyed being a stay at home mom and lady of leisure (ha ha) for 3 months but now i am offically a working mom! I am learning how to juggle a demading muti tasking job, while being a mother and wife. I think i can handle it, actually i know i can handle it. I have always performed better the busier i am, sounds crazy but it's true.

Leaving Ryder with Mimi and Papa

Ryan and I are leaving Ryder for 2 nights! I'm not really sure how i feel about this :( I was asked back when i was pregnant to be in my best friend Anne's wedding and of course i said yes, not thinking about how on earth i was going to be in a wedding and take care of a baby too. We thought long and hard about this and came to the conclusion he would be in better hands at home with Mimi and Papa. Mimi and Papa are on their way as i am writing this, they have offered to come to our house and take care of Ryder and the dogs until Sunday. As much as i am going to miss him to death if he came along with us we would've had to get a babysitter during the rehearsal and wedding and that would have been too stressful for me. Needless to say we will be home very early on Sunday to see the big boy and smother him with kisses.

Almost 3 months old

I can't believe how big my Ryder boy is getting! On the 24th he'll be 3 months, WOW! See the scratch on his nose, that is his new thing. No matter how short i get his nails he finds a way to give himself a new scratch :o(. His other new favorite thing is to put his whole fist into his mouth, it keeps him entertained for a good while but makes everything real slimy!
Today was a good a day, we went with dad to get his hair cut at this new place in the highlands called Nadine's, then we got yogurt at Yoforia. After that we went to Cam and David's to see Thomas and Aunt Kathi and Uncle Jerry, our final stop was at Henri's bakery to get some delicious goodies. Looking forward to a great Father's day with Ryder, Ryan and Pee-Paw.

Ryder's first laser show

Ryder enjoyed his first laser show! He spent the evening with mom, dad, and our friends Sana and Will. We got to stone mountain at about 7:30 and set up our blankets and enjoyed our picnic. We then played a little frisbee, listened to music, danced around, talked and people watched. This all wore Ryder out and he decided to take a cat nap right before the laser show started at 9:30. Once the fireworks and lasers started he was up and bouncing on the knees enjoying the show and fresh air!!

2 month check up with Dr. Roe

I am 13lbs 150z and i'm 24 inches long!! Dr. Roe said I'm in the 90th percentile for both height and weight.

Ryder's first festival

Here's big boy enjoying a little time outside on the blanket at the Kirkwood Festival! He loved the fresh air and everytime the wind blew it took his breath away and he closed his eyes, it was really cute. We really enjoyed ourselves minus a little bird poop that landed right on his cheek! We weren't even directly under a tree it was really bizarre. Thank goodness for baby wipes :)

I came across this picture today and it just made me smile. This was our wedding day almost 3 years ago. May 26 will be our 3 year anniversay. Now if i could only get out without the baby to get my hair done so it can look like this again!

Smile it's Saturday

I don't have proof yet but i promise i will soon. Ryder smiled at me for the first time this morning while i was getting him dressed. And it wasn't one of those i'm half asleep crooked smiles, it was a real ear to ear grin! What more could i ask for Mother's Day :)

Big Boy is getting huge!

Here is a picture of Big Boy aka Ryder when he first came home and one of him taken today asleep across my legs. I can't belive how fast they change. He's almost too big for his 3 month old clothes and he's only a month and a half, crazy!!

Ryder's first road trip

Ryder took his first road trip to Hilton Head! He did great, slept the whole way. We went to visit my parents and Ryan played in the Hampton Hall member guest with my dad. Ryder also enjoyed his first golf cart ride, he loved it. The guys also did great, they came in first in their flight for the tournament. We also enjoyed a nice night out to dinner which was the first time i've dressed up and put on makeup in 6 weeks. We left big boy with uncle Bud and they both did great! It was a great weekend full of great weather, good food, great company and lots of golf.
